Fatima Ouali is export project manager at Universcience, Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris, the first European Science Center in charge of promoting the culture of science and technology worldwide. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and international relations, she has achieved institutional and commercial projects in various countries.
She is very much involved in the promotion and commercial development of La Cité des Enfants ("The Children's City"). It is an innovative informal education concept specially designed for children from 2 to 12 years, a place where discovery and learning come together through "edutainment".
She is currently working on the development of dedicated areas for children and families in shopping malls, theme parks and other commercial sites, where new cultural and educational leisure offer is required (permanent equipments, temporary exhibitions or special events).
Based on the concept of Cité des Enfants, we have recently designed and delivered a 2 300 sqm edutainment area located in Dubaï at the Mirdiff Shopping Mall: "Little Explorers", in its entertainment zone "Playnation".

The city of Paris boasts two prestigious centers promoting science and technology, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie and the Palais de la Découverte. They have joined forces in 2010 to create a new institution: Universcience.
We could allow the figures to speak for themselves: with more than 3 million visitors in 2011, Universcience is still France's fourth public cultural institution and Europe's leading science center – without even taken into account its 9 million visitors online. Yet these figures alone do not convey the immense enthusiasm and pleasure enjoyed by our visitors – young and old – as they discover or rediscover totally original, exciting ways of seeing, touching and understanding science.
Universcience's temporary exhibitions, permanent areas, entertaining events, conferences, publications and online content, provide diversified channels of access to the fascinating world of scientific and technical culture. Our interactive and learning-fun method provides the visitors with a different approach to the challenge of "science on the move"!
At Universcience, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (La Cité) has developed a unique experience. Over 25 years of working with its partners in five continents have broadened La Cité's insight into a comprehensive knowledge of local realities and concerns. La Cité is currently developing partnerships with science centers, as well as shopping malls, genuine proof of the recognised quality of our skills and specialist experience.
