Maninder Gill is a specialist retail and franchising lawyer and is the Head of the Intellectual Property and Retail Groups at the London law firm of Simons Muirhead & Burton.
He was previously the Corporate Affairs Director of Harvey Nichols. He advises many brands on international expansion and is recognised by the industry as an expert in the field. He is listed in the Brand Protection and Franchising sections in The Legal 500 Directory and was ranked as a leading in-house lawyer by The Legal 500. He is described in previous editions of the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession as having a reputation for "fighting tooth and nail". He has been named in the Lawyer Magazine's Hot 100 lawyers list and was on The Times newspaper's Panel of Experts.
Maninder was a Visiting Lecturer at The European Business School in London where he spoke on Intellectual Property Law on the Masters degree course in Luxury Brand Management.
